Morality and society
Morality forms the basis of a cultured and civilized society. It controls human behavior and maintenance of it leads to happiness, brotherhood and prosperity. Loss of it causes chaos all around.
A nation's real progress is judged through is respect for moral values. Its foundation is laid in early childhood when parents begin to inculcate the sense of what is good and what is bad. It has universal acceptance and violation of it causes bloodshed and hatred.
Morality needs to be given top priority by leaders for they manage the affairs of a nation. Greed for more and more money often tends to have an edge over it but in the course of time there is deep realization that it is morality that brings harmony and peace all over the world.
In the fast changing world today, money seems to be having an upper hand in all our dealings.Human relationship too are breaking because of the emergence of fun and frolic based life. Physical comforts only have begun to matter lately. Material prosperity has begun to manipulate with disturbing consequences around. Who is responsible for this chaotic condition??. May be we are passing through a very difficult phase of human life.
True, prosperity is necessary to have a good quality of life, but aren't we fast forgetting our cultural roots that have set human civilization apart from the bestial tendency of animals?Nations today are applying all their energy in getting more and more powerful and richer, no matter what means they have to apply. This is a disturbing phenomenon. There are other considerations too that have to be taken care of. Morality carries no meaning when corruption continues at the political level because from there it comes down to different levels of society. But who is going to check this? A difficult question indeed!
There are violent reactions all over the world today against things going the immoral way. Dictators are being overthrown, leaders are being replaced, realization is sweeping across the globe that for firm foundation of human civilization the sense of morality must continue to guide all human dealings.
